Longtime College Alumni Director to Retire
After over 45 years as an employee at Glenville State College, Debra (Reed) Nagy is retiring. Throughout her decades of service to Glenville State, she has worked with eight different college presidents, two of GSC’s Community & Technical College provosts, helped hundreds of staff, faculty, and administrators, and interacted with countless students, alumni, and friends of the college.
Summer Fitness Initiatives Kick off at GSC
This summer Glenville State College wants to encourage a healthy community by opening its fitness facilities and swimming pool to the public! Three locations are available for use: the Fitness Center located in the Mollohan Campus Community Center, GSC’s Pool, and the Lilly Gymnasium.

CJ Student Participates in Internship on Golden State Killer Task Force
Last May, recent Glenville State College criminal justice graduate Tori Peterson was selected to participate in a summer internship with the Orange County (California) District Attorney’s Office. Peterson was an Investigative Assistant Intern and, as part of her duties, was assigned to the Golden State Killer (GSK) task force where she worked under Investigator Erika Hutchcraft.
Lambert Receives Student Leadership Award
Donald Lambert, a 2018 Glenville State College graduate, has been selected as the 2018-19 Student Leadership Award recipient. He is the son of John and Crystal Lambert of Elkins, West Virginia.
Employees Recognized at Appreciation Event
Glenville State College President Dr. Tracy Pellett honored several employees at the College’s Faculty and Staff Appreciation Awards Luncheon that was held on Tuesday, May 8 in the Mollohan Campus Community Center Ballroom. President Pellett presented certificates of appreciation to sixteen employees for their many years of service at Glenville State College in addition to other awards, citations, and recognition given to individual members of the campus community.
GSC Concert Band Wraps up Successful Semester
For students, faculty, and staff who perform with, direct, and organize Glenville State College’s Concert Band, the spring 2018 semester has been a busy one.
Glenville State College Lowers Tuition for 2018-19 Academic Year
Glenville State College has taken another step to make college more affordable for students and families in the Mountain State and beyond. For the second consecutive academic year, GSC has lowered its cost of tuition. On Thursday, April 19 GSC President Dr. Tracy Pellett announced that the institution would lower tuition by 0.5% in addition to a number of other measures designed to help students save money.
