Glenville State to Host NCAA DII Atlantic Regional Tournament
Glenville State College has been selected as the host site for the 2019 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship for the Atlantic Region. The games will be played at GSC’s Waco Center on March 15-16 and 18.
2018 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees Announced
On Saturday, September 29, six Glenville State College alumni will be inducted into the Curtis Elam Athletic Hall of Fame, which was established in 2001 through the generosity of the late Curtis Elam, a 1949 graduate.
Skiles Named Athletic Director
Jesse Skiles has been named Glenville State College’s new Athletic Director. His new appointment will take effect July 1.
Lawson Selected as GSC Pioneer Mascot
Ronisha (Nish) Lawson, a freshman from Beckley, West Virginia, has been named the GSC Pioneer Mascot for the 2018-19 academic year.

GSC Celebrates Winter Homecoming and Black History Month
Glenville State College held its annual Winter Homecoming on Saturday, February 3. The day tipped-off with an alumni basketball game where several past Pioneers and Lady Pioneers suited up to show off their skills on the court.
Skiles Named Director of Athletic Fundraising
Jesse Skiles has been named Director of Athletic Fundraising at Glenville State College. His appointment as the newest member of GSC’s Advancement Team took effect January 8.
Winter Homecoming will Celebrate Black History Month at GSC
Glenville State College will celebrate Black History Month on Saturday, February 3 during Winter Homecoming when a proclamation will be unveiled and read that afternoon between the Women’s and Men’s Basketball games. Special honorees at this unveiling will be GSC’s black students from the 1960s and 70s who have come back to campus as individuals who paved the way for future black students at Glenville State. GSC’s Inaugural Hall of Famer Bob Minnieweather ‘67, a phenomenal student athlete, will be memorialized at this event.
