Shale Gas Exploration and Production Presentation Scheduled at GSC
Members of the Glenville State College Environmental Organization will host a presentation about the ‘Impacts of Shale Gas Exploration and Production on Rural Communities in WV’ by Bill Hughes on Wednesday, March 15, beginning at noon. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place on the third floor of the Mollohan Campus Community Center in room 315.
Premium Night Scheduled for January 25 at GSC
The public is invited to Mollohan’s Restaurant at Glenville State College on Wednesday, January 25 from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m. for the January Premium Night.
GSC Professor to Lead Local Science Series
Glenville State College Associate Professor of Biology Dr. Gary Morris will be participating in a special four-part reading, viewing, and discussion program for adults. The free series, titled ‘Pushing the Limits,’ will take place at the Burnsville Public Library (BPL). The events will be held at 6:00 p.m. on the following Tuesdays: January 24, February 21, March 21, and April 25.
New Jazz and Commercial Music Studies Program to be offered at GSC
Glenville State College will soon be home to a new concentration of study in its Fine Arts Department. The Jazz and Commercial Music Studies program is being designed for the student musician who also has a desire to study the business aspects of the music industry. In addition to the core music curriculum, students will be immersed in the study of jazz and American popular music history and theory.
