IN THE DEEP DARK SHADOWS OF THE PRESIDENT鈥橲 AUDITORIUM, THE BAND MEMBERS HAVE BEEN HIDING AWAY IN WAIT TO PREFORM FOR THE MASSES ONCE AGAIN.
THE WORD IS THAT DR. BONE HAS BEEN SPENDING HIS TIME NOT ONLY PREPARING HIS TROOPS BUT ALSO SEARCHING OUT THE INFAMOUS LASER-TAGGER.
THIS ARTICULATE FIEND AND THEIR HENCHMEN FOUND THE LASER LIGHT IN THE AUDITORIUM.
A SOURCE WHOSE IDENTITY WILL BE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL (FOR NOW) TELLS REPORTERS THAT THE MAIN OF-FENDER鈥橲 HOME IS LOCATED IN THE FLUTE SECTION.
鈥淲E FLASHED IT IN AREAS ALL AROUND THE ROOM THAT HE WOULD SEE, BUT DR. BONE COULD NOT DISCOVER THE CULPRIT. BY THAT TIME, THE SECOND GROUP OF CONCERT BAND MEMBERS WERE STARTING TO ARRIVE FOR THEIR REHEARSAL. DR. BONE WAS ABSOLUTELY PARANOID AND VIGOROUSLY TRYING TO FIND WHO WAS FLASHING THE LIGHT,鈥 REVEALS THE SOURCE AND ACCOMPLICE.
STAY TUNED FOR THE ENTIRE ARTICLE TO SEE IF THE PHOENIX IS WILLING TO REVEAL THE IDENTITY OF THE TREBLED PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CRIME.

Prepare to be entertained! On April 23 at 7 p.m., the Concert Band will be preforming live at the Sue Morris Complex; the Big Band and Jazz Combo will be preforming at the same place and time on April 30. Everyone we talked to was more than excited to be able to return to preforming more openly for the public again. Kenzie Sears, a freshman member of the ensemble, went as far as to say that she missed preforming for others and 鈥渇eeling like an actual band.鈥
Brittney Koutsunis, a senior member of Concert Band and Jazz Big Band, teased that since COVID, she has been focusing on her senior recital, ensemble rehearsals, and projects. 鈥淚n ensembles, we try to be as socially distanced as we can, but we still make the best of things and have fun. We鈥檝e been working hard all semester to prepare for concerts and other projects that might be thrown into the mix. It hasn鈥檛 been easy to maintain high spirits, but the music majors have banded together to ensure that we make it through this difficult time and to have successful rehearsals and performances.鈥
Scott Barber, a member of Jazz Combo, further elaborated on the COVID precautions, explaining that 鈥渨ith concert band, we have sections split up and spread apart in the president鈥檚 auditorium and each section gets an hour of rehearsal time since the class is 2 hours long. We try to keep our distance in all classes that have anything to do with playing instruments or singing.鈥
Scott spilled that he would be singing for some of the songs at the live performance and that 鈥渁ll the songs on the set list are awesome. If there was a set of songs I鈥檇 be excited for people to hear, it would be The Blues Brothers set because its so fun to perform. Hearing Myrtle Copen do her songs are awesome too. Our whole group is just excited to be in front of an audience again and can鈥檛 wait to see everyone there!鈥
You can show your appreciation and try to spot the laser-tagger by attending the performance. Brittney, the accomplice, will be there. She joked with reporters that 鈥淚 guess once [Dr. Bone] reads this, the cat's out of the bag!鈥
