Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø Board of Governors met to kick off the academic school year
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø Board of Governors met in retreat on Tuesday and Wednesday to kick off the academic school year.  As Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø prepares to embark on another year of academic excellence and community engagement, the Board of Governors' meeting focused on key discussions, decisions, and strategies.
GSU hosted the West Virginia Sheriff’s Association Leadership Academy
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø hosted the West Virginia Sheriff’s Association Leadership Academy from July 16th-21st, 2023. This year, 92 students from the 55 counties of West Virginia signed up to learn leadership and public safety service skills including K9 deployments, firearms training, physical fitness, CPR/First aid, life skills, crime scene and vehicle accident investigations, and much more.
GSU Welcomes Back Students
New Pioneer Orientation is designed to help new students create meaningful connections, become familiar with GSU policies and procedures, connect with various offices and their caring, dedicated staff, and learn about all the services GSU provides.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø offering free Cybersecurity Training with Appalachian Regional Commission
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø will be offering free cybersecurity training as part of a joint effort between Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø, and the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) in the form of a POWER grant addressing Cybersecurity and Safety Workforce Development Initiative. The Initiative aims to create a more vibrant economic future for the coal-impacted North Central region of West Virginia. This opportunity is open to anyone; adults wanting to upgrade their skills for better employment, high school seniors, and college students.
